Just a few more skirts

Nothing overly exciting is going on here right now. I’m trying to make up more of the mid weight material I have in my stash so that when Jan 1st rolls around, I can focus on Spring skirts. That’s one of the exciting things about sewing for retail … I can forget about winter, at least in my sewing room, and play with cottons :-)

Authentic is the debut collection by Sweetwater for Moda. The 54″ cotton canvas prints are just plain fun. The graphic prints are perfect for totes and aprons. (this fabric collection comes in quilting cotton as well)

I like using Home Dec material for heavier weight cotton skirts. I wash the fabric twice to remove the sizing and to soften the twill so that they are more drape-able.

I think today I will make a winter white skirt with some poly brushed suede…..

I said it before and I will say it again. LOVE that you did this fabric up in skirts! I really loved this collection of prints. Sweetwater is definitely a favorite new designer of mine.
