Lola’s quilt

Cheater quilt for Lola

I’ll be taking this down to Lola tomorrow…hope she likes her MumMum’s first efforts at making, what I affectionately call, cheater quilts.

lola's cheater quilt

again, I just used leftover flannel from when I was briefly making diapers and burp cloths and a piece of matelasse for the back. everything was on hand in my stash.

cheater quilt

using up my scraps is a good thing. making blankets is a good thing. not spending money while perfecting the rosie’s whimsy method of making a cheater quilt is a good thing.

cheater quilt label

using my (dormant for 6 months) embroidery machine to make a label is a good thing, as well!

next I’ll be doing some Christmas ones. I love snuggling up with a throw over my legs and feet … plus, I have an awfully large stash!! HA!

Have the best of days! ~rosie~

Oh, she will love this. It will be so warm and soft for her! I love the tag on it too. That way when she’s 21, she’ll know when and by whom it was made! So nice.
