What keeps sewing interesting is the variety of fabrics available to illicit any response or feel you want to achieve.

I’ve started making the piecework squares that I make for my skirts larger to get a longer skirt. I’ve had a lot of requests for longer skirts and once they’re made, I can’t add to them. This one is a large and measures 31.5″ from the top of the band. This skirt is made with two color stripes and an arabesque pattern with a burnt orange knit yoga style band. A range of oranges and purples with geometric repeating designs and stripes. The other nice thing about the patchwork skirts is that with a 1/4 turn of the waistband you get a whole new look for your skirt….
