ocd – obsessive creative disorder

Does your need to be creative become at times obsessive? Do you think that is good thing or bad thing? Does it cause problems with you family time or can you compartmentalize?

I suppose I can answer … yes … both at times …. both at times.

I love to sew and when I am inspired, it is so difficult to put it down. I can find inspiration anywhere which means my ocd can flair up in a blink! The nature shown at the side of my skirt below is an example of what I can see without leaving my property. Can you see the colors reflected in the skirt?

Nature is a great source of inspiration. Magazines are another source of inspiration. I tend to see a room decked out and what to make a skirt to go with it (more on that another time)! HA!

What inspires you to create? How do you handle your creative energy?

Thanks for sharing what inspires you when making skirts. For my patchwork skirts its the fabric that inspires me. I find a fabric that I really like then the coordinating fabrics kind of fall into place.
