Photographing fabric

Photography is not my forte’  ~ I have gotten better over the years but it still is so hard especially when you are trying to give the best representation of color.

celadon, black, lt tan

These are the hemp/cotton blend fabrics I have available for my new tops, skirts, and slacks. The celadon in the above picture is actually a tad more green.

marigold, ivory, stone

The ivory actually has a slight green cast ~ do you think I could capture that? How can the 2 colors on either side be right on and the one in the middle not look quite right?

cinamon, purple, brown

Stay tuned  for more pictures of my new clothing items as I roll them out ~ you’ve seen the tunic and skirt I wore to Kate’s wedding. I’ve a pair of cropped slacks and 2 more styles of top coming, too!  The shawls and scarves will be made and listed as I feel so moved :-)

I agree – representing true color is tricky!! I’d love it if you checked out my photography classes – I’ve got one coming up in the spring just for crafters and online shop owners.
