I will not tell you I won’t be taking advantage of end of the year clearance sales ….even though my storage room is full.

Especially when one of my favorite online stores QuiltHome has some of my favorite older collections reduced dramatically!

This is 33 yards of Zazu designed by Tina Givens for Free Spirit Fabrics (the skirt is arabesque…which has nothing to do with the fabric). That translates into approximately 11 skirts.

I wish you all a Happy New Year and wish you fun and joy in your celebrations. This old girl will be sewing and watching a Burn Notice Marathon while Hubby reads and we will be very, very happy indeed!

I’ll be taking this down to Lola tomorrow…hope she likes her MumMum’s first efforts at making, what I affectionately call, cheater quilts.

again, I just used leftover flannel from when I was briefly making diapers and burp cloths and a piece of matelasse for the back. everything was on hand in my stash.

using up my scraps is a good thing. making blankets is a good thing. not spending money while perfecting the rosie’s whimsy method of making a cheater quilt is a good thing.

using my (dormant for 6 months) embroidery machine to make a label is a good thing, as well!
next I’ll be doing some Christmas ones. I love snuggling up with a throw over my legs and feet … plus, I have an awfully large stash!! HA!
Have the best of days! ~rosie~
