This was fun!

This dress was made from the Sis Boom epattern “The Meghan Peasant Dress”.

I used a fabric called Bits and Pieces for the top and hem accent and a lightweight cotton broadcloth for the skirt.

Have you ever bought a professionally done epattern? Well, the ones developed by Carla Hegeman Crim (The Scientific Seamstress) are fabulous. This pattern is a collaboration between Carla and Jennifer Paganelli of Sis Boom fame :-)

You print out only the pieces for the style/size you are making. I so abhor the flimsy tissue paper patterns. On this dress you are only really printing out the pattern for the top. The skirt is done with measurement and is very simple to follow.

And of course, I can’t just leave things alone. So, I added a serged strip of the bodice material to the hem edge for another whimsical flirty touch.

And to show you how versatile these patterns are I also made 2 bell sleeve tunics from the same patterns that I talked about here on The Fabric Shopper. You can also find purchasing information there. I don’t think you’d be dissapointed if you gave one a try :-)
